Since you are using the electricity and then pay for it at the end of each month, a credit assessment will be performed. For this, we will ask for your social security number. You need to know that the credit check will not impact your credit score, this is called a “soft credit check”. In the case that the credit check fails, a deposit will be required to start your energy service.
So, when you call or go online to get your electricity service, please have the necessary information in hand which is; your legal name, service address, social security number, phone number, date of birth, and email address.
Now, if you do not wish to provide us with your social security number, you can opt for any of our no-credit-check energy plans or prepaid.
Once your enrollment is confirmed, it will take about 2 hours to have your electricity switched or turned on with us. Now, let me tell you that I have heard many customers have their power on in less than 20 minutes, this all depends on how busy the utility is.
